Started out walking to McDonald’s…
but found a Starbucks on the way, so obviously plans changed 😄

Coffee in hand, I headed back—and that’s when the hill showed up.
Switchbacks, steady pace, and honestly? I enjoyed every bit of it.

Along the way:
🇺🇸 a WWII / Korea / Vietnam memorial I stumbled across — one of those quiet history moments Massachusetts just hands you without asking.

🌼 daffodils pushing through
💛 bright yellow blooms lining the hill
💜 azaleas near the top
🌸 and a tree in full white bloom waiting at the finish
2.12 miles total
4,947 steps
14 zone minutes
About 48 minutes of movement

Nothing extreme—and that was the point.
This one was a recovery walk… and my Fitbit basically said “textbook.”
Light effort, steady movement, building stamina without burning out.
That’s the part people miss—
not every walk has to be hard to be effective.
Got to the top, turned around, and looked back at where I came from.
That part always matters.
Walked it. Climbed it. Enjoyed it.
Made it back.
Still counts. Always counts.
