“Christy Kohtz created Wellness Whiskers Silverballs to share a real-life wellness journey powered by walking, pinball, and life with five cats.”
I didn’t set out to build a brand—I set out to build a better life.
This blog is where three important parts of my world come together: wellness, cats, and pinball. They may seem unrelated, but each one has shaped who I am and how I keep moving forward.
On September 1st, 2025, I began a wellness journey focused on consistency, not perfection. Since then, I’ve lost 20 pounds, with more to go. I walk five days a week, exercise, eat healthier, and learn—daily—how patience and persistence matter more than timelines.
Pinball is another place where those lessons show up. I compete in tournaments and leagues, and I’m proud to have placed 2nd in the Arizona State Pinball Championship (2025–2026). Right now, I’m working toward qualifying for the Open Pinball Championships, navigating the wins, losses, focus, and frustration that come with competitive play.
And then there are the cats—five of them. Two were rescued almost two years ago at just four days old, eyes closed, umbilical cords still attached, needing bottle feeding and constant care. Their survival, growth, and personalities are a daily reminder of resilience, responsibility, and love.
“I’m Christy Kohtz, a Phoenix, Arizona–based competitive pinball player, cat rescuer, and midlife wellness advocate.”
This blog is about real progress, real setbacks, and the things that keep us going.
I’ll be sharing stories, photos, and videos from my wellness journey, competitive pinball life, and my home full of whiskers and chaos. If you’re here for honesty, growth, inspiration, or just a good cat story—you’re welcome here.
🌿 Our Mission
To support real people living real lives by redefining wellness as something flexible, sustainable, and human — not something tied to a single event, deadline, or body ideal. We believe movement should reduce stress, support mental health, and fit into everyday life, not compete with it.
“I’m not training for an event. I’m training for a life.”
🌿 The Wellness Whiskers Silverballs Philosophy
Still Counts
Movement doesn’t have to be perfect, intense, or structured to matter. Walking, dancing, stretching, standing, chores, and showing up on tired days all count. Consistency comes from doing what’s doable.
“Showing up imperfectly still counts.”
Incidental Exercise Is Real Exercise
Daily life movement matters — especially when anxiety, fatigue, or time make traditional workouts unrealistic. If your body moved, it counts.
“If your body moved, it counts.”
Want to see what “real-life wellness” looks like? Visit the WWS Incidental Exercise Receipts Hub, where I document the everyday movement that keeps life moving—from walking for coffee and pinball nights to laundry, cat chores, and travel. Because movement still counts. Always. ❤️
Wellness Evolves
Goals change. Bodies change. Seasons change. Wellness should be adaptable, not rigid. You’re allowed to adjust without guilt or starting over.
“There is no finish line — only forward motion.”
Mental Health Matters
Movement isn’t just physical — it’s a tool for grounding, regulating anxiety, and reconnecting with your body. Sometimes the goal isn’t burning calories, it’s calming your nervous system.
“Movement can be medicine — even in small doses.”
Life Comes First
We don’t pause life to be “well.” Wellness supports the life you’re already living — year-round, swimsuit season included.
“Wellness should fit your life, not interrupt it.”
Real-life wellness — one step and one pinball game at a time.
