Christy Kohtz created Wellness Whiskers Silverballs to share real-life wellness…
Real life. Real movement. Real food. Real progress.
Welcome to the wellness side of Wellness, Whiskers & Silverballs — a real-life wellness journey built around consistency, curiosity, good food, and kindness toward yourself.
Disclaimer:
I’m not a doctor, trainer, or nutritionist.
I’m a real human who has tried a lot of things over the years. Weight has fluctuated. Life has been busy. Anxiety has existed. And through all of that, I’ve learned that sustainable wellness doesn’t come from extremes — it comes from building habits that actually fit into real life.
Here, you’ll find how I approach:
- Walking (including my famous Starbucks Carrot Method ☕🚶♀️)
- Low-impact cardio, dance workouts, strength, and stretching
- Incidental exercise (movement that happens while cleaning, shopping, pinball tournaments, and just living life)
- Mindset, motivation, and mental health support
- Food & weekly prep — keeping an ingredients house, simple meal planning, realistic grocery choices, and prepping just enough to make healthy eating easier (not overwhelming)

Food here is about support, not restriction. I focus on planning ahead so there’s something ready when life gets chaotic — not perfection, not macros, not cutting out joy. Just practical strategies that help fuel movement, stabilize energy, and reduce decision fatigue during the week.

I use tools like Fitbit to track progress, but I care just as much about how movement and food together improve energy, mood, confidence, and mental health — not just numbers on a screen. I also talk openly about anxiety, quitting unhealthy habits, staying safe while being active, and learning how to work with your life instead of against it.
This space is inclusive, judgment-free, and pressure-free. You’re welcome whether you’re just starting, starting again, or figuring out what works for you. Take what helps. Leave what doesn’t.
Progress counts. Balance matters. And food is allowed. 💚
