Walk Notes
Today’s walk didn’t have the usual neighborhood characters or nature photos — because the whole time I was on FaceTime with my daughter and grandbaby.

Honestly, that made the miles go by faster.

The Starbucks manager just got back from vacation, so it was nice to see her again.

Familiar faces matter.
Routine matters.
Small check-ins matter.

Meanwhile, my grandbaby was busy being extremely impressive.

She climbed onto her mom’s nursing rocker and figured out how to make it rock on her own.

Then she sat in a pile of books and very carefully worked on turning the pages one at a time. You could tell she understood there were individual pages and she was determined to separate them correctly.

Her fine motor skills are really strong for 12 months old — lots of concentration, lots of curiosity.

Also: she now has THREE teeth and is very proud to show them off 😁
