Xena is a rescued calico cat and beloved member of the Wellness Whiskers Silverballs household, known for riding on Andrew’s shoulders and supervising daily life.

Xena’s story starts on a road — literally.

At just four days old, eyes still closed, umbilical cord still attached, she was found army‑crawling across the pavement, fighting with everything she had to survive. Her sibling hadn’t made it, and Gabby lay perfectly still nearby. But Xena? She was moving. She was trying. She was choosing life with every tiny push of her body.

I scooped her up, saved her, and brought her home… and from the moment she opened her eyes, she chose my husband, Andrew, as her person. She has never wavered.

Now, she is a sweet calico‑tabby, who rides on my husband’s shoulders, helps with chores, and sleeps in the crook of his elbow every night.

Her Look

Xena is a stunning calico short‑hair tabby — patches of warm colors, bright eyes, and a tail that makes her unforgettable.
Her tail has a natural kink in it, almost like someone tied a tiny knot at the end. She was born that way, and it still has full motor function. It’s quirky, adorable, and completely her.

Personality

• Ride‑or‑die. She fought to survive, and she brings that same spirit into everything she does. As long is Gabby is near-by, they are a bonded pair.
• Sweet and loyal. She rides on my husband’s shoulders whether he’s dressed, undressed, or somewhere in between.
• Helper cat. If Andrew is doing something, she’s doing it too — no exceptions.
• Affectionate to her core. She sleeps tucked into the crook of Andrew’s elbow every night, under the covers, like she was made for that spot.

Her Daily Duties

Xena takes her role as “Dad’s Assistant” extremely seriously.
She helps him:

• Squeegee the shower
• Make his tea
• Wash dishes
• Tie his shoes
• Walk around the house (from her rightful place on his shoulders)

She is his tiny shadow, his sidekick, his baby.

Her Role in the Cat Crew

Xena may be small, but she’s not afraid to speak up. She was the brave one, the one who fought her way into this world, and then fought her way into my husband’s heart. She’s Gabby’s littermate – her bonded pair, Willow’s adopted little sister, and Monkey’s occasional target — but she handles it all with the confidence of a cat who knows she is deeply, irrevocably loved.

Fun Facts

She is, and always will be, Andrew’s baby.
Her tail kink makes her look truly unique.

She prefers shoulder transportation over all other methods.

She has zero concept of personal space — at least when it comes to her dad.

In the mornings, she goes into super purr mode. This is where she meows like a screeching pteradactal, purrs really loud, demands love from Andrew, and goes to her bed and makes biscuits.
