Some mornings, the Arizona desert puts on a show before the day has even properly started. 🌵🐦🐝

Today was Walk 2 of 5 for my weekly Starbucks walking routine, and the skies were gorgeous. Cool morning air, sunshine, and a whole neighborhood full of wildlife going about its business. When you take the time to look around, there’s always something happening!

The birds were out, the bees were busy, and nature reminded me once again that there’s plenty to see when you slow down long enough to notice it. My walks aren’t just about getting steps. They’re also about fresh air, little discoveries, and the occasional bird behaving like it has a personal vendetta against my camera.

And then it was time for Jazzercise #64! 💃💪

Today’s class was Cardio Sculpt, and I got in a full 56-minute session. My Fitbit recorded an average heart rate of 117 beats per minute, 392 estimated calories burned, and 63 Active Zone Minutes. I spent 37 minutes in the moderate heart-rate zone and another 13 minutes in the vigorous zone. That’s a whole lot of moving!

My step count was already at 10,617 by the time I checked out. Between walking and Jazzercise, Wednesday was shaping up to be a pretty active day.

But the numbers aren’t the whole story.

My Amazing Jazzercise Friends 💜

There’s something special about finding a group of people who make exercise feel like more than exercise. I like these ladies. I enjoy seeing them, talking with them, and being part of this little community.

And that’s why the possibility of changing jobs has me feeling a little conflicted.

Depending on how the interview process goes and what a new job would mean for my schedule, these could be some of my last Jazzercise classes for a while. My current routine has become a meaningful part of my life, and the thought of having to give it up is rough.

So, until I know what comes next, I’m going to enjoy every class I can get.

I’m not saying goodbye before I have to. I’m just appreciating the time I have with these amazing women and making the most of it.

Because wellness isn’t only about calories, steps, heart rates, or what the Fitbit says. It’s also about the people who make you smile, the routines that help you feel good, and the things you look forward to doing.

Still Showing Up 🌵

Walk 2 of 5? Done.

Jazzercise #64? Done.

Birds and bees observed? Absolutely.

Time with my amazing Jazzercise friends? Priceless.

I don’t know exactly what the next chapter will look like yet. But today, I got outside, moved my body, enjoyed the desert sunshine, and spent time with people I care about.

That’s a pretty good Wednesday in my book.

Wellness without perfection. Movement in real life still counts. And every step counts! Always! 💜🥕
