Jazzercise #60 is in the books!
Did I walk for my Starbucks today? No.
I slept in until about 7:30, so I did not have enough time to walk the usual 2.5 miles for my coffee. Sad, but true.
Apparently, I really needed the sleep, so I shook it off and drove to the Starbucks near Jazzercise instead. I can walk tomorrow, and try to focus on Jazzercise #60, today.
And somehow #60 felt very different from #50.
Jazzercise #50 felt like a big milestone. #60? It almost felt like just another day.
And honestly, I think that’s pretty awesome.
Because somewhere along the way, Jazzercise stopped being something I was trying to make myself do and became something I just do. It’s a fun part of my life now.
Today was a little different, though, because I had a virtual job interview coming up. So while I was at class, my brain was definitely somewhere else. 😂
I was there. My body was moving. But my brain was busy running through interview thoughts.
Robyn was teaching Cardio Sculpt, and we had quite a few new routines today. It was fun, but because I was in my head so much, I was definitely a little lost at times. My brain apparently decided that remembering choreography AND preparing for an interview was too much multitasking. 🤣
I also made the decision to leave before the weight portion of class.
Normally, I’d stick around. But I knew I was distracted, and I didn’t want to be handling a dumbbell while my brain was busy thinking about everything else. So I listened to myself and called it.
That was the right choice.
And I still got a pretty darn good workout:
💃 Jazzercise #60
⏱️ 39:11
❤️ Average heart rate: 119 bpm
🔥 290 calories
💪 Cardio load: 32
⚡ 50 active zone minutes
🟢 18 minutes moderate
🟠 16 minutes vigorous
🔵 5 minutes light

So no, I didn’t complete the entire class.
But I moved for almost 40 minutes, got my heart rate up, earned 50 active zone minutes, and made a smart decision for where my head was today.
It still counts.
And that’s really the whole point of this journey.
I’m not chasing perfection.
• I’m building a life where movement fits into my actual life—even when my brain is distracted, when plans change, when I’m busy, when I don’t finish the whole workout, or when something else needs my attention.
• Sometimes the win is doing the whole class.
• Sometimes the win is 39 minutes.
• Sometimes the win is knowing when to stop.
Movement in real life still counts.
Always!💜
