Today was SO much more fun! Yesterday was basically me wandering through a minefield of choreography going, “Okay… that’s a foot. This is apparently the other foot. WHERE ARE WE GOING?” 😂

But today? OH! I KNOW THIS ONE—LET’S GO!

A lot of today’s routines felt like a recap of the stuff we were doing back in June, which meant I actually knew what was coming. I didn’t have to spend half the song watching Robyn and trying to decode whether we were going right, left, up, down, or somewhere completely different.

I could just MOVE.

And that made a HUGE difference.

Because when I already know the choreography, I don’t have to slow myself down to figure out what the heck my feet are supposed to be doing. I can put the energy into actually doing the workout. Today was higher energy, more continuous movement, and honestly required more effort than yesterday—even though yesterday felt more chaotic.

Yesterday was:
“Wait… what are we doing?” 🤨
“Oh. That leg.”
“Nope. Other leg.”
“Well, we’re committed now.” 😂

Today was:
“OH! I KNOW THIS ONE!”
“LET’S GO!” 🔥
“I REMEMBER THIS!”
“WOOHOO!”

And THAT is why consistency matters.

I’m still very much the poster child for consistency, not perfection, but today I got to experience what happens when consistency starts paying off. The routines weren’t brand-new puzzles. My brain recognized them, my body remembered them, and suddenly I could spend less time thinking and more time dancing.

I still wasn’t perfect. I never am. And frankly, I’m okay with that.

But I was having FUN.

I was keeping up.

I was working.

And I didn’t have to stop and mentally reboot every thirty seconds. 😂

After yesterday’s “my feet have apparently declared independence” episode, today felt like somebody handed me the cheat sheet.

Jazzercise Receipts

One more workout in the books. One more hour of showing up. One more reminder that you don’t have to be perfect to get better.

You just have to keep showing up.

And sometimes, eventually, your brain goes:

“WAIT. I KNOW THIS ONE.”

And then you dance.

Still counts.  Always!😆💃🔥
