Some workouts are about burning calories.
Some are about building strength.
Today’s class was about giving my mind a chance to catch up with everything else going on.
After a great night’s sleep (9 hours!) and a much-needed mental reset, I headed to Jazzercise. We danced, stretched, laughed through the “gorilla” moves, twisted along to Little Richard, and I realized something…
I’m getting better.
I’m keeping up with the choreography more often, my shoulders aren’t complaining nearly as much as they did when I started, and even though I’m still occasionally negotiating with my left and right feet, I’m spending a lot more time moving and a lot less time wondering what everyone else is doing.
Today’s class:
💜 50 minutes
💜 312 calories burned
💜 67 Active Zone Minutes
Jazzercise Receipts

The best part wasn’t the numbers, though.
With friends on my mind and a lot happening outside the gym, dancing gave my brain a chance to breathe. Movement helps me process stress instead of letting it pile up.
I left feeling calmer, stronger, and ready to take on the rest of the day.
Still counts. Always. 💜
