45 players, Pokémon trophies, weird geometry, old friends, new players, paced match play stress, amazing race finals, spooky pizza destruction, Data East nonsense, Metallica heartbreak, KISS redemption, and a whole lot of Arizona pinball community energy.
Didn’t quite make the cut this time, but learned a ton, got more comfortable on a few machines I hadn’t touched in years, and got reminded once again why this community keeps people coming back.
Also really cool seeing people from the old Player 1 Arcade and Grumpy’s Icebox days show up. Felt like a big weird family reunion with silverballs.
Congrats to everyone who made it through, including Andrew surviving until late rounds before X-Men chaos finally got him. 😄
