Phoenix pedestrian mode activated. ☀️🥵

The walk to Starbucks was conducted on the East side of the road for optimal shade access. Navigated past a little boy on a scooter, and parents and students at elementary school drop off.
Starbucks upgraded their app to make it possible to say a specific pick up time. Nice!
The first walk took exactly 30 minutes, because I didn’t have to stop and cool down under 3 different trees along the way.

Coffee and egg bites were retrieved, but the egg bites were too hot to eat so I threw them in my purse to eat when I got home.
On the way back home, I did stop to cool off under some mesquite trees, then continued on.

Two walks, over 6,000 steps before 9 AM, one Aquanet tree that completely failed at its job, and one purse temporarily converted into a Starbucks bacon-egg-bite warming drawer.
Saw Wild West Mustache Guy, Crosswalk Lady trying to find shade, distracted drivers, an Amazon guy actually paying attention, utility equipment that had been upgraded recently, and at least one mockingbird continuing its campaign of neighborhood intimidation.
