Drove Andrew and me to league tonight—
14 minutes… walking would’ve been a bit ambitious 😅
Five rounds, lots of reps,
some rough starts, some solid finishes, a few “okay, we’re getting there” moments,
and a reminder that progress doesn’t always look perfect.

Quick note about the venue—
• The machines are in great shape, which makes a big difference when you’re trying to practice and compete.
• Huge appreciation for Mark Pearson keeping everything running smoothly,
and for Jim & Diane Smith running league—always grateful for the community they create.
• Like a lot of busy spots, things can get a little stretched on the bar side, but the food is exceptional! Phillipino Fried rice, lumping, loaded fries, and more.
But the pinball and the people keep me coming back.
And a little full-circle moment—
This place is in Sunnyslope,
where I spent a lot of time hanging out on the weekends when I was a kid.
Looking across the street, I can almost picture where old spots used to be—
just one of those nights where past and present overlap a little.
Not perfect. Not polished.
Practicing control in a league setting hits different—and tonight was reps.
👉 Still counts 💛
