This week?
Yeah… this was a real one.
Not a highlight reel night.
Not a “everything is clicking” night.
This was a stay-in-it-anyway night.

🎮 The Pinball Side
Started strong on Creature… had the setup. Lanes filled, snack bar lit… and then—
💥 all three balls said goodbye at once

That kind of night.

Had a “revenge game” moment on Bond just to prove to myself that 4th place wasn’t my actual skill level (it wasn’t 😅).

Then hit Walking Dead and… yeah… not my normal 60M game.
Little chaotic. Little bouncy. Little distracted.
And that part matters.

🧠 The Human Side
Unexpectedly ran into one of my daughter’s best friends from high school playing their first tournament ever ❤️
So instead of being 100% locked in…
I went full former-school-teacher / room mom mode. Not the friend’s fault. Mine.
Helping. Watching. Encouraging.
Trying to stay present for them and play my own game.
Spoiler: that’s hard.
—
🎯 The Reset
At one point I literally had to go walk the parking lot to reset my brain.
And honestly?
That counts.
Came back steadier than I left.

🕹️ Back to the Machines

Joker Poker — my FAVORITE game in the building… and I did not play it the way I know how.
Missed skill shots. Didn’t pace the banks right. Rushed it.
That one stung.
So naturally…
I got Andromeda next (a game I usually hate)…

…and I did not turn it into a “surprise yourself” game, but it didn’t turn into a frustration spiral, so… that’s growth.
Right next to my game, Andrew was fighting his best fight on John Wick.
Ball 1 — not pretty.
Ball 2 — still not pretty.
Ball 3… BAM. It all came together.
That’s life.
That’s pinball.

👟 The WWS Side (the part that actually wins long-term)
– 9,268 steps
– 4.14 miles
– ~3 hours of movement
– 37 zone minutes
– Calm, steady heart rate all night
Incidental Exercise Receipts

This is EXACTLY what “incidental exercise” looks like in real life.
Walking between machines
Standing, shifting, resetting
Mental + physical engagement
Parking lot laps to reset your head
This is how sustainable wellness actually happens.
Not perfect workouts.
Not perfect days.
Just… showing up and staying in motion.
Still counts.

🧡 The Perspective
I wanted a big night.
Didn’t get one.
But also?
This is the first truly frustrating night since February.
That’s a pretty solid run.
And even tonight:
✔ showed up
✔ played all rounds
✔ supported new players
✔ stayed active
✔ didn’t quit
Still counts.

🐾 WWS Motto of the Night:
“Not your best game… still your real life win.”
That’s the kind of consistency that actually builds something.

Back at it next week. 💪🎯
