Starbucks was experiencing technical difficulties this morning… which apparently means the cold brew supply I have been personally supporting for the last 7 months has finally run dry.
Improvisation mode activated.
Frankensteined together an iced coffee situation that was close enough to maintain planetary stability.
Walk launched successfully in 66° weather, sunshine, and just enough breeze to feel like Arizona was briefly cooperating.

Encountered:
• construction crews upgrading the obstacle course
• ocotillo doing dramatic spiky interpretive dance
• prickly pear showing off bright yellow blooms
• hummingbirds performing nectar inspections (little boogers are camera shy)
• suspiciously electronic-looking things hanging from power lines like an electrician’s laundry day
• multiple “oooh flower” moments that slowed pace but improved mood
Stopping for photos definitely stretches the walk time a bit, but curiosity is part of the system. Turns out noticing interesting things outside makes it easier to keep showing up.
Movement doesn’t have to be optimized to be effective.
