Yesterday was a little TLC day.
Sometimes you pause, take care of yourself, and reset.
Life happened mid-week, so the schedule shifted a little. Rest day Wednesday, movement back on track today.
Still counts.

This morning I was back out walking through the neighborhood in Phoenix, Arizona — cool air, bright desert sun, and those big blue skies stretching over the mountains.

The bottlebrush trees are “snowing” red fluff along the sidewalks, collecting in little piles along the curb like bright red confetti. The prickly pear cactus is pushing out fresh spring growth too, those lighter green pads showing up everywhere.

One of my favorite moments was seeing the school crossing guard again. Between helping kids cross the street she was out there doing lunges and little exercises in the gravel. She’s lost a lot of weight since the beginning of the school year just by staying active while doing her job.

Community service and movement.
It’s another reminder that movement in real life still counts.

Your turn:
What little things do you notice when you’re out walking?

Refreshed, back on my feet, and enjoying the little things again.
Blue skies.
Desert plants waking up for spring.
Steps adding up one at a time.
Still counts.🚶♀️🌵
