118 players tonight. The place was buzzing.
Some nights you’re locked in, some nights the machines remind you who’s boss.
Tonight had a little of both. A few games felt a bit off, a few shots weren’t landing, and one classic favorite humbled me a bit — but that’s league pinball. You play the ball, finish the game, and move on to the next one.
The highlight for me was getting to spend some time on the classic Galaxy again. I played that machine a lot during Women’s State, so it still feels like visiting an old friend… even when it decides not to cooperate.
Meanwhile, one of the standout stories of the night: Alex Cardwell put together a perfect league card — five rounds, five first-place finishes. That’s incredibly hard to do in a field this big, and it was fun watching it quietly unfold as the night went on.
League nights like this are one of the reasons I love our pinball community. Competitive play, lots of great players, and plenty of good conversations between games.
