Lead me to better.
One day I woke up and wanted coffee. I had a perfectly good car, but I was a little irritated with myself. Why? My clothes were feeling smaller. I wasn’t feeling very energetic, and I definitely wasn’t feeling my healthiest.
I thought back to a couple years ago when I was absolutely rocking my exercise routine… and then I quit. Ugh.
So I got a bright idea.
September 1st, 2025 — I call this my Starbucks Carrot Method — if I wanted coffee, I had to walk for it.
I measured the distance from my house to Starbucks: one and a quarter miles.
Doable.
No gym.
No pressure.
Just movement with a purpose. So I started walking. Not to punish myself, but to earn my coffee and rebuild my health one step at a time.
Five months later, and 20 pounds lighter, I’m still going strong. I’ve built stamina, consistency, confidence… and unexpectedly, a business — all because of that one decision to …walk for coffee instead of driving there.
The lesson?
If you want something, walk for it.
Work for it.
Go for it.
