Well, this one was a last-minute decision! π
I noticed around 7:10 this morning that there was an 8:00 AM Jazzercise class today, so apparently I decided I could squeeze one in. That meant throwing clothes on, grabbing my stuff, and basically running out the door with my tail on fire. π₯π€£
I rolled in about five minutes late, but I had already started my workout tracker before I even left the car, so I still captured the whole workout. I checked in, jumped into the group, and got right to work!
And Sarah was a blast. She’s quirky, fun, wonderfully all over the place, and has this incredibly bouncy, jumpy energy that makes it pretty much impossible not to keep moving. We did a LOT of mambo and shuffle ball change. And while I can appreciate a good shuffle ball change, it’s a little too close to home for me because of that stupid talent show in first grade. πππ
But it was FUN.
This was definitely full cardioβnot low impact. We were going, going, going, and I could definitely tell there was a workout happening!

My readiness was 86, so apparently my body was perfectly willing to entertain my spontaneous Sunday-morning decision. π

I was also testing out my new HIKE shoes today, along with my ankle-support braces. My left heel has started talking to me a little bit, and since I’ve dealt with plantar fasciitis before, I’m trying the preventative approach rather than waiting for it to become a bigger issue.
So far, so good. I’m not ready to give the shoes a five-star review after one class, but they survived Sara’s bouncy cardio assault, and my foot seems reasonably happy with the experiment. ππ
And then there’s the small logistical matter of why I had to bail before the strength portion…
Both moms are invading today! π
They’re coming over to get some more Daily-and-Loretta time before they leave Tuesday morning, which means I need to get home and make two quiches and heat up the chicken-portobello-rice casserole situation. So strength training had to lose the scheduling battle today.
Sorry, strength. You were sacrificed to the Mom Invasion. π€·ββοΈπ
And, of course, I already got my coffee on the way home. ββ€οΈ
So that’s Jazzercise #40 in the booksβand I love that it wasn’t even planned. I saw an opportunity, threw on my workout clothes, and went dancing.
40 Jazzercise sessions. ππ₯
Not bad for a decision made at 7:10 AM while running five minutes behind. π
Still counts.Β Always!π
