Robyn is BACK!!! And let me tell you, we were all pretty darn excited about it! πŸ’ƒβ€οΈ

Today’s class was SO much fun. We did a bunch of routines that I learned when I first started Jazzercise back in June/July, and apparently my body remembered them because the muscle memory kicked in big time! πŸ˜‚

There wasn’t nearly as much of that “Wait… what are we doing now?” feeling. I knew the routines, everybody else knew the routines, and we were just able to dance and have fun. I felt like I was flying around that floor!

And because we’re all still feeling the loss of Dolly, there was really only one appropriate thing to do:

🎢 9 TO 5! 🎢

Because obviously. It was required. πŸ’—

I also decided to skip the weights today. I still did all of the strength exercises, just without the dumbbells. I have a very important job later today: grandbaby transportation. πŸ˜‚πŸ‘Ά

I’m going to be picking up and carrying Loretta later, and I figured I didn’t need to completely exhaust my arms before I have to haul around my favorite little human. Sometimes working smarter means knowing when to put the weights down!

And according to Fitbit, I still got plenty of work in:
πŸ”₯ 420 calories burned
⏱️ 75 minutes, 46 seconds
❀️ 106 bpm average heart rate
🟒 29 minutes moderate
🟑 10 minutes vigorous
πŸ’ͺ 49 active zone minutes
πŸ“ˆ Cardio load: 34
πŸ‘Ÿ 4,673 steps

And the best part? That 75-minute class pushed me to 110% of my weekly cardio goal! 🎯

Interestingly, my heart rate wasn’t quite as high as it sometimes gets during Jazzercise. But I think that’s because I wasn’t learning choreography today. When you already know the routines, you can move efficiently without spending as much energy thinking about what comes next.

I felt like I was working. I was moving. I was sweating. I was smiling. And most importantly…

I was having FUN.

That’s one of the things I love most about Jazzercise. It’s exercise, absolutelyβ€”but it’s also music, friendship, laughter, and a room full of women who are willing to look completely ridiculous together while getting healthier. πŸ˜‚πŸ’ƒ

Jazzercise #36:
Robyn is back.
Dolly got her tribute.
Muscle memory showed up.
The weights stayed home.
And I still got my cardio in.

Oh, and now I have to go get that grandbaby. ❀️

Movement in real life still counts.
