Apparently, I have reached the point where I can walk into Jazzercise knowing full well that every single muscle in my body is still aware of yesterday’s workout and think:
“Yep. Let’s do this again.” 😂
Yesterday’s class woke up ALL kinds of muscles—shoulders, biceps, triceps, core, hips, glutes, back…basically my entire body had opinions this morning.
But once the music started?
I PLAYED. I SWEATED. I REPEATED.
And honestly, this class absolutely flew by. I had SO much fun!
Today I decided to modify the strength portion a little. I skipped the weights, but I still did all of the exercises and movements. My muscles were already getting plenty of attention, thankyouverymuch. 😂
And apparently that was enough because Fitbit came back with:
💃 1 hour, 8 minutes of dancing
🔥 538 calories burned
❤️ 127 bpm average heart rate
⚡ 70 cardio load
💪 98 active zone minutes
🟢 25 minutes moderate
🟡 37 minutes vigorous
👣 5,085 steps

Fitbit even told me this was a solid follow-up to yesterday’s workout and that I was building the stamina I’ll want for those long tournament rounds later this year.
I’ll take it. 😎
And let’s talk about the Fitbit data for a second. It is still trying to figure out what the heck happened to me because I forgot to put it back on Sunday night, so it has no data from that night and only partial data from last night.
So when Google Health/Fitbit looks at my sleep and readiness and starts wondering why this woman is apparently dancing like a lunatic…
Fitbit, it’s fine. 😂 It’s Tuesday.
Tomorrow is a non-Jazzercise day, so I won’t be back until Thursday. Which means I had one job today:
WHOOP IT UP.
Mission accomplished. 💃
The best part?
I can feel the workout in every muscle, but I also walked out smiling.
That’s exactly what I’m looking for.
Movement doesn’t have to be miserable.
It doesn’t have to be perfect.
And it definitely doesn’t have to look like what somebody else thinks exercise should look like.
Sometimes you just need to put on some ridiculous clothes, turn up the music, move your body, laugh a little, sweat a lot, and have fun.
Jazzercise #35: Play. Sweat. Repeat.
And apparently…I’m really loving this whole Jazzercise thing!
Still counts. Always! 😎💜
