Well, Jazzercise #34 turned into one heck of a party!

Today was Darlene’s 33rd anniversary week, so she put together a whole new routine featuring music from the ’90s and other songs that made us want to sing along and dance our fool heads off. We had Janet Jackson, Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, and all kinds of other familiar favorites. I may or may not have gotten a little carried away when the swing dancing started. 😂

And then there was skipping around the room, linking arms and spinning around, switching arms and spinning again, and even a routine involving the can-can. Because apparently regular cardio wasn’t quite enough. 🤣

The best part? I KEPT UP!

I keep forgetting that Mondays are Cardio Sculpt, which means it is NOT the low-impact class. Monday is basically no holds barred. And after today’s class, I can confirm that my new shoes were fantastic!

I was worried about how my feet would handle the hard Jazzercise floor without my usual arch inserts, especially after dealing with that stabbing pressure from the Good Feet inserts. But today? No stabbing arches. 🙌

My feet were sitting differently, so I could definitely feel some different muscles working, but overall the shoes felt fantastic. I was able to keep up with the entire class, move all over the place, dance, swing, skip, spin, and generally act like a complete goofball.

And I had an absolute blast.

That might be my favorite thing about Jazzercise. I’m getting a serious workout, but when the music is good and the choreography is fun, I’m too busy having fun to care that I’m exercising.

Today’s workout was basically a ’90s dance party disguised as cardio.
