Monday came in a little rough this week. Five hours of sleep, courtesy of five cats who apparently decided bedtime was an excellent opportunity for head-resting, face-booping, and general nighttime shenanigans. 😂

I almost made the 8:00 class with Robyn, but my tired self wisely decided that 9:15 with Darlene was the better plan. And I’m glad I went.

Today was 55 minutes of dancing, with an average heart rate of 138 bpm and 49 minutes in the vigorous zone. My Fitbit counted 538 calories burned and 102 active zone minutes. 🔥

I did make an executive decision to skip the last few minutes of floor work. My hips and a hard floor—even with a mat—are not currently on speaking terms, especially when dumbbells and glute exercises enter the conversation. 😂

I watched for a bit to see how everyone else modified things, and I may experiment with some standing alternatives another day.

That’s one thing I’m really enjoying about Jazzercise: I’m learning that I don’t have to do every movement exactly as demonstrated. I can modify, adjust, or say, “Nope, that’s not happening today,” and still get a heck of a workout.

And then there are the people. ❤️

Love ya all! 💕

The parking lot was absolutely invaded by a herd of mini SUVs this morning, and when class ended, the ladies gathered outside in little groups looking exactly like a bunch of high-school friends hanging around after class. 😂

They’re hilarious, they’re a riot, and I genuinely love this group.
