Meredith Grey had it right: dance it out.

Today marked Jazzercise class #20, and it was another reminder that movement is about so much more than burning calories.

Today’s workout:
💃 1 hour 11 minutes
🔥 631 calories burned
❤️ Average heart rate: 134 bpm
⚡ 117 Active Zone Minutes

Jazzercise Receipts

Most of the class was spent in the vigorous heart rate zone, with a few pushes into peak. It was challenging, sweaty, and exactly what I needed.

People sometimes ask how I stay motivated.

The answer is simple: I don’t chase perfection—I chase consistency.

Some days I sleep eight hours. Some days I take an afternoon nap so I can safely enjoy an evening of pinball and still spend time with my husband.

Life isn’t perfect, but movement still counts.

Twenty classes ago I decided to try something new.

Today, I’m stronger, happier, and healthier than I’ve felt in years.

Now if you’ll excuse me… I’m going to keep dancing it out.

Still counts.  Always. 💜
