Happy Independence Day!
This morning’s Starbucks Carrot Method adventure came with one of the most spectacular Arizona skies I’ve seen in a while. Monsoon clouds rolled across the valley while the sun stubbornly kept trying to peek through, turning the entire sky into a moving work of art.

The soundtrack couldn’t have been better, bouncing from Tal Bachman’s She’s So High to Sheryl Crow’s C’mon C’mon and finishing with Alphaville’s Forever Young. Somehow each song fit the morning perfectly.

Along the way I found lovebirds, visited my favorite midpoint bench, admired the ever-photogenic “Aquanet Tree,” and stopped more than once just to watch the clouds race overhead. Sometimes the destination is coffee—but the journey is where the magic happens.

After the walk, there was only one thing left to do: put my feet up on the patio and enjoy watching the clouds slowly give way to brilliant blue skies.
Movement doesn’t have to be perfect.
Sometimes it’s about coffee, music, birds, clouds, and remembering to appreciate the morning.
Still Counts. Always. 💜🌵☕
