Today felt different… I didn’t just survive the choreography… I actually found my rhythm.

I made it through three or four routines without getting turned around or going the wrong direction. One of the longtime regulars noticed and cheered me on, which made my whole morning.

Just when I thought I had it figured out, Robyn threw in a brand-new routine. Perfect! I don’t want it to get too easy. Learning something new keeps it fun.

We danced to songs like Good Golly, Miss Molly, did a little twisting, a little swinging, lots of clapping, and plenty of “Woo! Woo!” moments.

I wasn’t even sure I’d stay for the strength portion today. Fitbit gave me a low readiness score after a rough night’s sleep courtesy of the Cat Sleep Committee. But I felt good after the cardio, so I stayed and finished the whole class.

Best of all? No barbells were accidentally launched at any little old ladies. I’d call that a successful strength workout. πŸ˜„

One of the other new ladies and I joked that we want to be those amazing longtime Jazzercise ladies when we grow up. They’re strong, confident, and they know every move. Maybe someday we’ll be the ones cheering on the next newcomer.

Today still counts. πŸ’œ
