Average Heart Rate: 128 bpm ❤️

Today’s soundtrack featured “Body Talks” by The Struts, which turns out to be surprisingly perfect exercise music.
Imagine a room full of women in their 60s and 70s kicking, shuffling, strutting, and swing-dancing their way through the routine with giant smiles on their faces.
It was impossible not to have fun.
The Fitbit numbers were solid:
• 27 minutes in the vigorous zone
• 6 minutes in the moderate zone
• 58 active zone minutes total
• Heart rate spent most of class cruising in the vigorous range

More importantly, this is exactly why I’m doing this.
I’m not trying to become smaller just to become smaller. I’m trying to become stronger, healthier, and more capable so I can keep saying yes to life.
I want to be the grandma dancing at family weddings, not the one sent home early. I want to keep traveling, walking, playing pinball, chasing cats, and making memories.
My role models were two amazing women:
Grandma Fay made it to 102 and was still swing dancing at 100.
Grandma B made it to 99, flew biplanes, rode roller coasters, collected degrees like souvenirs, and never stopped being curious about the world.
That’s the goal.
Today’s class wasn’t just exercise. It was another deposit into the “keep having adventures” account.
Still counts. 💜
