April 23, 2026 Airport Steps for Sips Walk 4 of 5 Week of April 19

There’s a number that jumps out this week (Week of April 19, 2026):
10 hours and 6 minutes of screen time per day.
If you just look at that, it sounds like too much.
Like I’ve been sitting still, scrolling, losing time.
But numbers don’t tell the whole story.

📊 The “Screen Time” Version
My phone says:
-10+ hours a day
-70 hours total for the week
Most-used apps: ChatGPT, Facebook, Jetpack

That sounds like a lot.
But here’s what that time actually looked like.

🚶‍♀️ The Real Life Version
This week I:
Walked 52,787 steps
Traveled across the country ✈️
Played multiple pinball league nights + tournaments
Finished:
🥉🥉 (two x third-place and one x 4th-place finishes)
Wrote and posted 35+ pieces of content
Worked on my website
Stayed consistent with my wellness routine
And somewhere in there?
Yeah… I also played 1 hour and 18 minutes of Crossword Explorer on a plane with no internet.
Because sometimes life is just:
do what you can with what you’ve got.

🔁 The Accountability Loop (This Is the Core)

I’m not inventing content.
I’m living my life and recording it.
That’s a big difference.

I’ve built an accountability loop for myself:
I move → I track it
I play → I document it
I write → I reflect on it
I share → I stay consistent

The posts aren’t the goal.
They’re the system that keeps me honest.

They’re what keep me showing up on the days I don’t feel like it.
They’re what turn “I should” into “I did.”
This isn’t about chasing content.
It’s about building a life—and keeping receipts.

🎯 What This Actually Means
That “screen time” wasn’t:
mindless scrolling
wasted hours
checking out of life
It was:
writing
building
connecting
documenting
learning
creating something that didn’t exist before

🧠 The Blend Is the Point
About 36% of my screen time happened while walking.
That’s not a flaw.
That’s the system.
That’s:
Starbucks Carrot Method ☕
Incidental exercise 🚶‍♀️
Real-life movement mixed with real-life work
Not perfect.
Not aesthetic.
Not “optimized.”
Just… real.

🎮 Yes, Even Pinball Has Screens

There’s a screen in pinball too.
Scoreboards.
Standings.
Match play tracking.
Photos.
Recaps.

Not all screen time is sitting still.

Some of it is:
competing
reacting
learning
connecting
capturing the moment as it happens

🏆 And Then There’s Pinball

Pinball doesn’t show up in your screen time report the way steps do.
But it shows up in:
adrenaline
focus
community
competition
growth
Two third-place finishes and a fourth?
I’ll take that all day.

Because it means:
I showed up.

💜 The Truth Behind the Numbers
If you only look at one metric, you miss the story.

This week wasn’t about:
too much screen time
not enough rest
doing things “perfectly”

It was about:
showing up anyway
stacking small wins
keeping momentum
building something real

🌱 The WWS Reality

Sometimes wellness looks like:
walking while using your phone
writing from wherever you are
playing a game on a plane just to stay sane
competing even when you’re tired
doing something instead of nothing

Final Thought

My phone says:
10 hours a day.

My life says:
movement, progress, connection, and growth.

And around here?

That still counts. 💜
