Walk Receipts

One walk to wake up the body.
One walk to focus the mind.
Fitbit even called it vigorous morning miles and sharpening your focus.
Movement before a tournament helps regulate stress, settle nerves, and improve decision making.
Still counts.
Lessons from Rocky (and 80s movies in general)
Rocky training scenes weren’t about ideal conditions.
They were about effort under real conditions.
Not perfect gyms.
Not perfect schedules.
Not perfect moods.
Just forward motion.
Daily and often.
I was raised on 80s movies that taught: be kind, but not a pushover build strength without losing compassion keep going even when conditions aren’t ideal.
Train hard.
Stay kind.
Help others up.
Goonies heart.
Mr. Miyagi philosophy.
Survivors stick together.
Neighborhood observations

Saturday morning = lots of dogs out walking their people 🐕
Dogs don’t aim for perfect.
They aim for daily and often.
Consistency experts.
Construction on the crosswalk is back in full swing.
Yard sale signs everywhere.
Community moving and living real life.
Walking past a full Starbucks parking lot is always a reminder:
Walking is often the superior parking strategy.

Next step: warm up games with Gabby supervising 🐈🎯 then off to Starfighters.
Rocky quote energy:
“It ain’t about how hard you hit.
It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.”
That one hits deep.
Progress isn’t built on perfect days. It’s built on repeatable days.
Routine bent ≠ routine broken.
Still counts.
