The Outpost Arcade – Chandler,  Arizona

League night at The Outpost Arcade delivered competition, community, and over 8,000 steps of real-life incidental exercise — proof that fun movement still counts.

These league nights continue to build skills, confidence, friendships, and endurance — all while having a lot of fun along the way.

Huge shout out to The Outpost Arcade for being the hostesses with the most!

The atmosphere makes it easy to relax, focus, and enjoy the games.

Thank you to Nancy for bartending and keeping everyone refreshed throughout the night 🍹

Happy Birthday Patrick Swazey!!

And a very Happy Birthday to fellow player Patrick Swazey 🎉🎂 — always great to celebrate milestones with the pinball community!

Pinball highlights 🎯

Tonight required patience and controlled play. I was trapping up consistently but hit a few more posts than planned and didn’t manage to get multiballs started this time.
Even on an off-game night, there is still valuable practice happening:

• shot accuracy
• recovery after missed shots
• controlled flipping
• staying calm when momentum stalls

Every game adds data and experience.

Still counts.

League scoring
Scoring reminder:
4-player game: 7–5–3–1
3-player game: 7–4–1

Each point contributes to season standings, and every ball is an opportunity to improve decision making under pressure.

Incidental Exercise Receipts

Fitbit labeled much of the activity as light intensity, but total daily movement — and mental focus — tells the bigger story.

Consistent movement adds up over time.

Still counts.

Why pinball supports wellness 💙

Pinball helps develop:

  • focus under pressure
  • emotional regulation
  • strategic thinking
  • resilience after mistakes
  • community connection
  • It also encourages staying active for extended periods without feeling like a traditional workout.

Incidental exercise (NEAT movement) is often the most sustainable type of activity because it fits naturally into real life.

Fun movement is still movement.

Community appreciation 💜

Grateful for welcoming league environments that encourage growth and camaraderie.

Pinball communities continue to demonstrate how hobbies can support both mental and physical wellness.

WWS takeaway

Progress doesn’t require perfect games.

Progress requires showing up.

Every ball played

Every step taken

Every skill practiced

Still counts 🎯🐾
