Hot sun, cool air.
Electrical contractors doing mysterious alley upgrades that look important but also slightly confusing.
Crossing guard was absolutely winning the morning — doing stretches and goblet squats between kid waves like a fitness ninja in a reflective vest. No leaning on stop signs for her. Respect.
Prickly pear still blooming in full drama mode.
Dragon shrubs already finished with their yellow flower moment. Glad I grabbed photos last week before they vanished like seasonal pop-up bands.
Coffee achieved.
Egg bites eaten on the bench like a civilized outdoor mammal.
Walk 2 featured the usual neighborhood boss level lineup:
- skateboarder
- old couple
mountain bike guy and gray-haired lady absolutely flying on her mountain-bike-tricycle hybrid - old hippie on electric scooter
- Jeffrey walking again and looking encouragingly less ankle-broken — strong comeback energy
- Wild West Mustache Guy sighting
- punk rock dog patrol
Bird count:
1 hummingbird
2 mockingbirds
Alley smelled like either progress or paint thinner.
Possibly both.
Soundtrack: country → George Thorogood → Johnny Cash
