Tonight felt strong.
Walked in with a plan, stayed steady, and executed most of what I intended on several unfamiliar machines. That alone feels like real progress.
I’m learning to trust controlled play — trap up, pick shots, repeat high-percentage paths. Modern machines are starting to feel more like classics when I slow down and stay intentional.
Here’s how that showed up on the scoreboard:
Pinball Receipts

Highlights:
• Baratheon spinner strategy on Game of Thrones paid off big
• Flamethrower on Mandalorian opened up multiple scoring paths
• Genesis left ramp → BLUE letters → multipliers → carried bonus
• Stayed calm after a slow start and finished strong
• Anxiety stayed under control all night
• No emotional rollercoaster
Also one of those reminder nights that pinball is about community as much as competition.
Had a really meaningful conversation with a fellow player heading to Nationals — reminded her (and myself) to enjoy the experience, take pictures, meet people, and remember that fun is part of playing well.
And yes… homemade crab rangoon at league is a strong showing. Effort food always earns respect.
3+ hours on my feet, lots of movement, lots of learning, lots of connection.
