The walk to Starbucks – sky questionable

The sun was already warm but the air was still cool, with that weird leftover humidity Phoenix sometimes gets when the rain thinks about showing up but doesn’t.

Three walks down this week.

The Starbucks route has developed its own little walking community.

The regular cast of characters was out again:

Raymundo making his rounds around the Starbucks shopping center, probably thinking about the next song he’s working out on sax.

Bubba the drummer running his own version of the Starbucks Carrot Method — the Whataburger breakfast walk followed by the chiropractor popping his back “like a wishbone.”

Jeffrey still walking on that busted ankle like a former football player who refuses to quit.

The tattooed feral-cat lady acknowledged the heat this morning instead of snarling, which in Arizona counts as friendly conversation.

And the bandana walker continues to get gently herded along by her very patient cat-wrangler walking partner.

Almost back home and the sun is back.

Just another morning on the Starbucks route.

Still counts. 🚶‍♀️

Anyone else have “regular characters” they see on their daily walk?
