Completed in Less-Than-Ideal Conditions (and That’s the Point)

Cold outside. Egg bites negotiated. Still going.
Kitty Loaf secured.

Walk 5 of 5 is officially done — and it almost didn’t happen.

It started in a nice warm bed, with a perfect kitty loaf nearby, and some very serious egg bite negotiations happening in my head.

You know the kind: “We can go… but only if there are warm egg bites involved.”
Eventually, the deal was struck.

Then came the walk.

It was super windy, the kind of wind that makes you work for every step on the way out. The walk home flipped the conditions again — a cool breeze, but a hot sun on my back. It was one of those days that looks beautiful but asks a lot from you anyway.

Music helped.
Movement helped.
Letting go of the idea that it had to feel easy helped the most.

This wasn’t a postcard walk. This was real life.

Midpoint

Some days, wellness starts with motivation. Other days, it starts with mental negotiations, comfort you don’t want to leave, and small bargains that get you moving anyway. And that counts too.

I didn’t quit because it was windy.
I didn’t turn around because conditions weren’t ideal.
I kept going — safely, intentionally, and with joy where I could find it.

Home, windblown but safe.

Walk Receipts:

Five walks. One week.
Warm bed abandoned. Kitty loaf respected.
Less-than-ideal conditions.
Still worth it. Still going.

Still counts.
