Mardi Gras ready!

Fat Tuesday showed up loud and proud at Electric Bat. Beads everywhere, free necklaces flying, and two King Cakes laid out for the league to share — fresh from New Orleans. Extra love to Greg Drew, who rolled in straight off an early-morning flight, sunburnt and red-eyed, still rocking a snappy purple, green, and gold polo with a crawdad logo. Travel fatigue didn’t slow him down one bit — 4th place on the night. Way to step up. 🎭💜💚💛

Game 1

Game 1: Terminator 2 🤖
My best game of the night came first, and it was a textbook T2. 21 million points of calm, controlled pinball.
Ball one opened with a clean skill shot, followed by smooth, flowing ramp shots that just kept feeding right. Center lock achieved, multiball lit and running beautifully, and multiple specials along the way.
Balls two and three were pure wash, rinse, repeat — steady play, no panic flips, letting the game come to me. After that opener, every game that followed felt like gravy.

Game 2 – 4th place
Game 3 – 3rd Place
Game 4 – 2nd Place

Game 4: Jaws 🦈
Player 1 energy hit immediately — 140 million on ball one — and then pinball did what pinball does: two quick house balls right after.

Right game, wrong Andrew

Standing next to me, Andrew Roesch (not my husband 😄) put on an absolute clinic with a 550 million game. One of those performances that’s genuinely fun to watch. Control, patience, mode knowledge, and knowing when not to flip. A great reminder that even when your game goes sideways, there’s always something to learn just by watching good pinball happen.

Game 5 – 4th place

Ending on 007: 60th Anniversary 🎬
My favorite game… and league pinball humbled me. Three balls of nothing. I was plunging too soft for the skill shots, couldn’t find the timing, and never fully brought it together. It happens.

Revenge game close to rolling

But — redemption arc activated. After league wrapped, I played a revenge game, broke 9,000 points, and came just shy of rolling the machine. Ego assuaged. 😌

My finish

Andrew Kohtz finish. Way to go hubby!!

In the end.

Week 1 owners, Rachel and Cale, delivered everything: Mardi Gras vibes, great games, hard lessons, and moments that remind me why I love league pinball. Six weeks to go — and plenty of room to build from here. 🎯✨
