Today’s Omaha walk included:
– a goose I respectfully negotiated sidewalk rights with,
– rabbits supervising the landscaping,
– flowers that looked like a daisy/dandelion/tulip hybrid,
– a tiny tree having what appeared to be a full anxiety attack,
– cool bridge views and creek paths,
– and a Starbucks full of humanity.

One elegant lady sat peacefully with a giant well-loved Bible covered in bookmarks and notes, looking completely settled into her Sunday morning ritual.
Another mom looked like she was about to explode at the barista… until I realized she had twin little boys waiting in the car and was trying to calculate how long “three drinks ahead of you” actually meant in parent-time. A few minutes later the tiny humans came trucking into Starbucks behind her. Mystery solved. 😂
It’s funny how coffee shops feel the same no matter what state you’re in. Different scenery, different weather, different sidewalks… but still little pockets of people trying to wake up, think, study, parent, relax, recover, or just exist for a while.

Vacation movement still counts.
Wandering still counts.
Observing still counts.
Coffee acquired. Steps acquired. Nebraska nature DLC unlocked.
